Meet the Attorney
Patrick’s father started his career with Disney in 1958. Over the course of his career, he became a high-level executive as Disney began expanding its operations. He was later relocated to central Florida during the 1970s. After serving as a lifeguard and attending junior college in California, Patrick soon followed his family to Florida. During his stay in Orange County, Calif., and Orange County, Fla., Patrick held numerous theme park positions between Disneyland and Walt Disney World respectively. Of all these experiences, his first job was that of a shoeshine boy, providing shines for a mere 25 cents at the employees’ barbershop in Disneyland.
While attending Rollins College in Winter Park, Patrick’s passion for rowing was sparked. A rookie to the sport, Patrick was fit enough to join a very fast eight-man varsity crew. In 1976, he and his college crew won the Florida state championship and the Southeastern Regionals. They also placed third at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, which was considered the small-college Nationals at the time. Soon after, that same crew went on to compete in the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta in England.
After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in philosophy at Rollins, and graduating with high honors, Patrick worked briefly as a carpenter’s apprentice. Following this experience, he applied and was accepted to the University of Florida Law School, and thus began his legal career. As member of the Florida Bar since 1981, he has practiced law for more than a quarter century. His areas of expertise are focused primarily on real estate, commercial law and construction law. However, he continues to become involved in various discrimination and harassment cases in order to expand his practice. Patrick served as the in-house construction attorney at Walt Disney World for three years. Today, he is a certified civil mediator, and he continues to help clients resolve their legal matters.
